About
Hello! My name is Mollie. I’ve been learning languages for 15 years and have worked across the e-learning, translation and journalism industries. I believe the most rewarding thing about being able to communicate in another language is discovering all of the people, culture and histories that exist on the other side of the language barrier. I’m passionate about empowering people to unlock the world of opportunities that language skills gift us through expert tuition, translation and content writing services, with a strong focus on cultural intelligence.
Qualifications
I'm a native English speaker from the UK but I have spoken Spanish for over ten years. I graduated with a first class BA (Hons) French & Spanish degree, with special recognition for my translation skills, and I have a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate.
Professional Experience
I have worked in e-learning for four years, creating online French and Spanish language courses for beginner and intermediate learners. I also taught English to young professionals in Colombia and have worked as a translator and travel writer.
Lived Experience
I lived in Latin America for two wonderful years, across Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica. I have also lived and worked in Paris, France. In other words, I have had many awkward situations in another language so I know exactly how you feel!
Interests
I am currently learning Arabic and enjoying discovering the challenges of learning a new script. When I'm not brushing up on my languages, you can find me salsa dancing. I trained in Cali, Colombia, with world champions, which was a dream come true!
